Jim was my uncle. I was pleased to attend Jim's funeral service on behalf of my late mother Eileen, Jim's younger sister & my sisters Liz & Gill. Eileen was serving as a Wren in the Admiralty when news of HMS Dunedin's sinking came through. That Jim survived and went on to lead a very full and active life was a blessing. The tributes at the service were very touching and and made me feel i have been part of a lucky generation not to have had to go to war.
